Are the beads made from real __________?
Yep! If a style is called something like "<gemstone name> bracelet" you can rest assured that the beads are truly made of that gemstone. Our lapis lazuli bracelet is really lapis. Our black onyx necklace is really onyx. You get the idea. 😉
However, while we always use the correct names for our stones, please note that gemstone names can be tricky! For example, did you know that African turquoise is actually a type of jasper? And while tourmaline quartz has "tourmaline" in the name, it is a variety of quartz, not actual tourmaline. Always read product descriptions carefully and if you're ever in doubt, just ask us!
Do Wishbeads products contain lead?
Never! All Wishbeads jewelry has been tested for lead and is guaranteed to be lead-free.
What does the symbol in the Wishbeads logo mean?
The symbol in the Wishbeads logo is the stylized Japanese kanji for “wish granted”. Another fun fact… if you turn the symbol on its side with the circle on top, it’s the symbol for woman. It also resembles the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for life, the Ankh.
On Wishbeads bracelets and necklaces this symbol appears on the brass capsule, while in the paper bead kit it appears on our signature bead.
